The brief
With young children, the family needed a proper bath as well as a good shower, and storage for everything that usually ends up on the floor.
What we did
We kept the bath in its original position to avoid moving the soil pipe, which saved time and money, and fitted a new steel bath that holds its heat well. A fixed rainfall shower above it has a hand shower on a rail for washing children and cleaning the bath.
The shaker-style vanity has two deep drawers and a cupboard, with a quartz worktop that stands up to toothpaste and bath toys. Above it, a large mirror and a mirrored wall cabinet give everyone somewhere to put their things.
Pale grey metro tiles run around the bath, with larger tiles on the floor. We finished with a new window sill and an extractor fan to keep condensation down.
